Local productions include: The Collection, What the Butler Saw, As You Like It, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Edward II, The Double Dealer (Best Direction), Halsted Street: Chicago (GLAAD nomination), The Lisbon Traviata, the local premiere of Daniel MacIvor’s In On It (Weekly Nomination), and the Musical Theatre Guild production of The Golden Apple. He has been the resident director for the Opera Buffs since 1991 and has directed their concert opera productions of Carmen, La Bohème, La Cenerentola, and The Ballad of Baby Doe. He helmed the world premieres of his own plays: Hopeful Romantic (Robby Nomination), Recalled to Life, and the one-act collection, Tawdry Tales (Best Comedy Posing Strap Pirates.) Other self-directed one-acts include: The History of Gay Theatre in Something More than 60 Seconds and Trattoria of Terror, both commissioned by Theatre Out in Orange County. For Theatre West, he directed The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, the world premiere production of The Man Who Saved Everything, and numerous short pieces for WestFest, including his own short plays, Hands Beneath the Table and Sons of God.

Has appeared at TW 20 years ago in the musical Saturday Night at Grossinger’s (directed by Susan Morgenstern), recently in A Sleighful of Songs! (Victoria Lavin, director), and Mark Wilding’s The Loan (directed by Michael Van Duzer). He’s performed on stage in 46 US states. LA Theatre: World premieres of Listing (Tom Lazarus, director) at Theatre Forty, in the Braid’s Out Loud! (Susan Morgenstern, director), Hillary and Monica (Joel Zwick, director), Reunion (Kay Cole, director), Naked Christmas (Jonathan Levit, director). Television: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives. Proud AEA, SAG-AFTRA member, and represented by MINC Talent.
Has been in well over 100 productions on stage...they include the world premieres Walking in Space, The Man Who Saved Everything, and Verdigris here at Theatre West. Other credits include Room Service (which had 6 Ovation nominations, including best ensemble). Musicals in Summer Stock and Dinner Theatre include Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, the Emcee in Cabaret, and danced “Steam Heat” in Pajama Game, to name a few. In 2025, David performed/sang in the music presentations of Aquarius, Songs from ’67–’72, and Sleighful of Songs. He would like to thank his husband, Michael, for riding this roller coaster with him for the last 29.
Dina Morrone is thrilled to be co-producing alongside Bryan Sui, Michael Van Duzer’s sexy dark gay comedy. Other shows produced by Dina at Theatre West include her solo show The Italian in Me (written and performed), for which she won a Valley Theatre Award for Best Solo Show, Moose on the Loose, My Uterus: A Womb With A View, So Many Stars, The Age of Aquarius 1967–1972, The Sunday Night Solo Series, Portraits 2, SOLOpalooza 2.0, The Galaxy of Phil Hendrie, Jim Goins’ lecture presentation of his new musical Saint George the Knight, Who I Am for Black History Month, and Associate Producer for Not Your Cup of Tea 2024 (AAPI). She’s the editor/contributing writer for the socially conscious lifestyle publication The Eden Magazine, and has interviewed the likes of Martin Luther King III, Louis Gossett Jr., Gina Lollobrigida, Mariel Hemingway, Jacques Cousteau Jr., and Bruce Dern. Her voiceover work includes VO on films such as Avatar, Ferrari, Luca, Pinocchio, Dune, The Bad Guys, video games like Starfield and Mafia, and as the Announcer of the Media Access Awards on PBS. www.dinamorrone.com
Bryan Siu is excited to be on board for this thrillingly daring piece. They are an LA-born and raised storyteller who’s passionate about embarking on a discovery of stories that empower and uplift the voices of the unheard, while challenging the status quo. Recently, they directed Yoki’s Body and Little Brother Eldest Son (Short+Sweet Hollywood ’25). With Theatre West, their acting credits include Hence the Confusion (WestFest ’25) and Jack and the Beanstalk (Storybook Theatre). They also wrote The Heartbreaker, which was a finalist in the Ellen Idelson Comedy Playwriting Competition. As a current TW board member, they are beyond grateful to be involved in this creative endeavor alongside the cast and crew and to collaborate with Michael Van Duzer and Dina Morrone.
is the current Secretary of Theatre West’s Artistic Board. She is a California native and a graduate of the Los Angeles Film School, with 13 years of experience as a Script Supervisor, mostly in feature films, and she is a member of IATSE Local 871. In television, she worked on Danger Force, S3 (Nickelodeon). Theatre credits include Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Tenor, Magenta in Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast at Nuart, The Friction, and Stepping Down at WestFest, and featured on the History Channel’s World’s Greatest Heists. In January, she co-produced Millennium Magic 2026.

Sammy Dallas is a nonbinary sound designer, sound mixer, writer, director, experimental artist, and musician located in Los Angeles. They pursued a degree in Visual Media Arts at Emerson College where they co-wrote, co-directed, and produced their first feature film 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Over the last few years they’ve worked on sound for dozens of projects with a focus on queer and genre filmmaking. Last year they worked as an intern at Big Bad Sound, assisting their head engineer in both live and studio environments. Sammy is thrilled to bring their ear to Theatre West as a newfound technical member.
Miles Berman (Lighting/Sound Designer/Stage Manager) has worked on hundreds of productions doing Lighting/Sound Design & Engineering, with numerous other productions as Actor, Director, & Writer. He’s won multiple awards, including “Best of Venue” and “Best of the Year” in multiple festivals—with his last directorial project: Brick by Brick having been nominated for 6 awards in 2025’s Hollywood Fringe Festival. Mel is an actor, fight choreographer/coordinator, and writer who has helped folks beat each other up across NYC, LA, and Baltimore. They are delighted to be working with Theatre West for the first time. Fight credits include: Spring Awakening, The London Rose, Borracho, Dog Sees God, Julius Caesar, How Deep is the Ocean? (NYMF). Rachel is a Los Angeles based actor and intimacy choreographer. She spent her early years in Virginia, where she received a BA in Theater Performance from James Madison University. After graduation she made the move to New York City where she worked with The New Group Theater, and continued her studies at various conservatories, including William Esper Studio, Stella Adler, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Caymichael Patten Studio. She then moved out to Los Angeles, where she continued her practice at Crash Acting Studio and Helena Walsh Empowerment Studio. Her most recent stage credits include Lauren/Nell in Completeness (Eastwood PAC), Jane in The Girl's Guide to Saving the World (Crash Acting Studio) and Abigail in The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog, a new play (The Broadwater). www.rachelzapata.com.
