Introducing Children To Theatre
Storybook Theatre, founded by Lloyd Schwartz and Barbara Mallory Schwartz, has been presenting children's plays for over 25 years at Theatre West. Storybook has won over 34 Valley Theatre League Awards, LA Parent has called Storybook "the best children's theatre in the city," and LA Magazine says it's "one of the 200 reasons not to leave LA."
Storybook Theatre's interactive, non-threatening musicals are a perfect introduction to the theatre and always mix fun audience participation with valuable lessons.
Impacting Community
Theatre West partners with schools to bring theatre professionals into the classroom to use theatre as vehicles to teach storytelling, drama, reading, English, and language skills.
"Theatre West has been life changing for our children. They come to school with joy in their eyes. Is there any greater gift?"
